Fried Paratha in Cinnamon Sugar

Serves 4

Time 10 minutes

Ingredients

4 frozen parathas

¼ cup white sugar

1 tbsp ground cinnamon

2 cups cooking oil (for frying)

Method

Combine the white sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl and set aside.

Heat the oil in a medium saucepan, ensuring the oil reaches no more than halfway up the sides of the pot. Heat to 180°C over medium heat.

Cut each frozen paratha into 8 wedges, like slicing a pizza.

Fry the paratha wedges in batches for about 30 seconds, or until puffed and golden. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on a tray, lined with a paper towel.

While still hot, sprinkle generously with the cinnamon sugar. Enjoy!
