Tofu Wanzi (Fried Tofu and Bacon Burgers)


1 (12½-oz.) box firm tofu, diced

350g lean pork mince

1 garlic clove, grated

2 tbsp parsley, chopped

5 spring onions, finely chopped

2 eggs

1 tbsp soy sauce


1 ½ cup panko bread crumbs

4 slices cooked bacon, cooled and finely chopped


oil, for frying (of the oil left over in the pan from cooking the bacon)

fried eggs

Tomato, cut into

Cheese slices




Place all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix together with your hands or a wooden

spoon, until combined.

Shape into small patties or largers burgers.

Fry on each side for a few minutes until golden brown and crisp.

Season with salt and serve immediately, with toasted burger or muffin buns, mayonnaise,

lettuce, sliced tomatoes, fried eggs and bacon.
