Sugar Free and Dairy Free Date Fillo

Ingredients

Olive oil
1 cup dates
70g blanched almonds
60g pistachios
70g cashews
70g currants
⅓ cup honey
1 tsp cardamom ground
2 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tsp orange blossom water
1 pkt chilled Fillo

Method

Preheat oven at 185°C.

In a food processor, blend the dates, nuts, cardamom, honey, sesame seeds and orange blossom.

Brush olive oil on the bottom of a large baking dish and layer 5-6 sheets fillo on the base, with olive oil brushed lightly on each sheet. Spread the nut mixture evenly on the fillo. Top with another 5-6 layers of fillo sheets with olive oil brush on every sheet and on top.

Place in the preheated oven at 185°C for 30 minutes until golden brown.
