Steak with Creamy Green Pepper Sauce

Serves 2
Time 20 minutes


2 rump steaks

Salt & pepper

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 


Creamy Green Pepper Sauce 

2 shallots, finely diced 

2 tbsp green peppercorns 

2 tbsp butter

¼ cup brandy

¼ cup red wine 

150ml cooking cream 

1 bunch chives

1 punch parsley


Season both sides of the steaks with salt, pepper and a drizzle of olive oil. 

Add steaks to a hot pan, sear on each side and cook to your liking. Remove from the pan and allow to rest. 

Add the shallots, peppercorns, butter, brandy and wine to the steak pan. Gently stir in the cooking cream, add fresh herbs and pour over the steak.
