3-4 Bread rolls, split in half
1/2 – 1 cup tomato paste or passata
1 cup caramelised onion
1/3 cup olives, halved
100g shaved ham
1/2 cup pineapple pieces
1 cup mozzarella, grated
Garnish: Skewers with pickles, spring onions and pickled onions.
Preheat grill to 220°C.
To make the subs, lay the buns crust side down lined side-by-side on a baking tray.
Spread the tomato paste, caramelised onions, olives, ham, pineapple, basil and top with cheese.
Place under the grill until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
Serve with a skewer of spring onion, pickled onion and pickle.
