Korean Beef Ribs


2 beef short ribs,

2 tbsp soy

1 tbsp hoi sin

2 tbsp plumb sauce

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1 clove garlic

1 tbsp chili paste


Cabbage salad

¼ Chinese cabbage


1 tbsp sesame seed

1 clove garlic

½ bunch chives

1 tbsp rice wine vinegar

2 tbsp pickled ginger

1 carrot, cut into match sticks

4 spring onions, sliced on an angle

¼ cup deep fried shallot

Extra-virgin olive oil



In a bowl, make a secret sauce with hoi sin, plumb sauce, soy sauce and chilli paste. Baste ribs with secret sauce.

Place cabbage salad ingredients in a large bowl and dress with soy sauce, sesame oil, white wine vinegar and deep fried shallots.
