Caprese Salad


  • 250g Mozzarella cheese

  • 250g vine ripened tomato

  • 2-3 tbsp. fresh basil leaves, shredded

  • 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar

  • Salt and pepper to taste


  • Cut both the mozzarella cheese and the tomato into 1cm rounds.

  • On a serving tray arrange a slice of tomato topped with a slice of cheese and sprinkled with a little basil.

  • Mix the olive oil, balsamic and salt and pepper in a small bowl and pour over the salad.
