BBQ Five Spice Turkey Wrapped in Banana Leaves


4 x 200-250g of lean turkey breast

2 spring onion, finely chopped

2½ tbsp. of soy sauce

2½ tbsp. of honey

2 garlic cloves, crushed

1 tbsp. of sesame oil banana leaves


2 cups red cabbage, shredded

2 tbsp. yoghurt

2 tsp. sesame oil

¼ cup chives, chopped

1 tsp. ginger, grated

1 garlic clove, crushed

2 tbsp. olive oil


Pre-heat the BBQ to medium heat. 

In a mixing bowl combine all the ingredients and leave to marinate for 40 minutes. 

Wrap the individual turkey breasts in banana leaves, lined with baking paper, securing each with a wooden skewer. 

Place on the BBQ and cook for 5-10 minutes each side. 

For the salad, combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl, tossing well.
