Banana Breakfast Bars


2 small ripe bananas, mashed
100g almond meal
350g rolled oats
150g olive oil
¼ cup honey
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking powder

To Serve:

Pre-heat the oven to 180C. Line a 20x20cm baking tray with baking paper.
In a small saucepan on a low heat melt the honey and add the olive oil once melted.
Remove the pan from the heat, stir in the oats, almond meal, nutmeg, baking powder and banana.  Thoroughly combine and them pour the mixture into the baking tray and spread evenly.
Place in the oven for 20 minutes or till gold brown.
Cut into medium sized portions.
Serve with yoghurt sprinkled with cinnamon.

  • In the ingredients, 150g of olive oil is called for. Can you confirm whether it is 150g of 150ml please? Sue
  • Hi Sue, 150g of olive oil is equal to about 160mL so it doesn't really matter as they are almost the same. Steph
  • Do we have some nutritional info for this recipe? How many serves would it make? I am doing weight watchers n this looks like a great breakkie. Julie Magee
